Sharing Clients and Requirements in Commercial Real Estate

As a sales associate in commercial real estate, most consider themselves a loan wolf. Depending on the size of the requirement or listing I strongly believe in partnerships. Yes, you are typically giving up 50% of the fees but the client gets not one, but two agents they can call if anything urgent comes up. The time you free up by having a partner on a file is extraordinary and completely worth it. From second opinions on an offer to the market knowledge and experience each person brings to the table – I believe two heads provide better service than one – and that’s what we, as sales agents, owe our clients.
Second thought, this isn’t a one way street. Most co-workers will reciprocate the business and if they don’t, maybe their broker should re-evaluate employment.
